This is a cacao fruit. (What chocolate comes from.) The white things inside are pulp covered seeds. You can eat the pulp (which is citrusy) but the seeds taste bitter. Apparently you make chocolate by drying and roasting the seeds and then making a powder of them.

Hi Jess, your photos from G. are great. I'd love to see them post processed a bit - your portraits could use the extra oomph! I love your photos of wooden doors, windows, etc. - a great collection!
